Whether you are a financial member or not, there are many ways that you can give back to the University through the Charlotte Alumni Chapter.
Advocate
To be an advocate for the chapter is completely free to you! Just spread the word. Let people know about our events, repost flyers to your social media, and let alums know about our general body meetings, held on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 6:30pm.
Bring A Friend
The next time you decided to come to a meeting, bring a friend! Introducing a fellow alum to the chapter cost you nothing but is worth so much!
Entrepreneur to Steward
If you are an entrepreneur and an alum of JCSU you can give back through your business by joining our Alum-prenuer to Steward Program. You choose a month that you will give back the percentage of your sales to the Chapter. In return we encourage the Smith community to patronize your business through text, email, and social media.
Support an Event
Event attendance, virtual or in person contributes to the success of it. Can't make it? Sponsor someone else by purchasing a ticket. Tell a friend to tell a friend!
Have an idea you want to share with the group? Do it through a committee! Our committees are the lifes blood of the chapter. You decided how much time you commit to the committee, and the role you play in making our goals and events a success.
To attend the meeting you do not have to be a dues paying member. However, to vote and reap additional benefits throughout the year, you must be financial. Dues can be paid via check, online, or in person and are $75.00. the Charlotte chapter takes that money and pays your national dues of $25.00 and we use the remaining $50.00 to conduct business for the year and contribute to the university.
